Norton Utilities is one of the apps supposed to help users improve the overall performance of their computers and tweak specific features and applications running on the system.

An update released today promises to improve the overall experience with Norton Utilities, not only by implementing a number of fixes, but also enhancing the functionality of some of the built-in modules.

Starting with version 16.0.1.4, Norton Utilities’ Browser History tool no longer removes the bookmarks toolbar from Firefox, while the third-party software uninstaller also detects Skype 6.0.

Norton Utilities doesn’t offer dedicated support for Windows 8.1, but the app seems to work just fine on this new OS version.

Of course, the app also comes with full compatibility with all the other Windows versions, so regardless of the edition you are now running, download Norton Utilities and give it a spin for improved performance.
