The stable version for Notepad++ 6.5 has been rolled out over the weekend, less than a week after the release candidate (RC) emerged.

Most of the changes announced for RC have been preserved and not much has been modified. However, the fresh build brings to the table an improved auto-close feature for parenthesis, quotes, bracket and matched XML/HTMl tag; now it can also be used on user-defined pairs. The function can be enabled from the configuration panel of the application.

Also new is the reload feature available for the function list.

Other than this, the developer seems not to have encountered issues leading to important code modifications or a change in the list of features.

Notepad++ 6.5 comes with support for CoffeeScript programming language and includes an updated Scintilla editing engine, to build 3.3.4.
