Windows XP is set to be retired in April, but the majority of anti-virus vendors will still support the operating system, so users running the OS beyond this date will still be protected against malware.

Panda Security has just announced that Panda Cloud Office Protection will continue to be offered to Windows XP users despite Microsoft’s plans to end support for this particular OS version.

“It is very important for us to keep our commitments to our customers,” explained Manuel Santamaría, global product manager at Panda Security.

“Nearly 50 percent of the two million computers currently protected with Panda Cloud Office Protection have Windows XP installed, so for our customers it is extremely important that we continue supporting this operating system, particularly after their systems lose product support on April 8, leaving them vulnerable.”

However, Panda isn’t the only anti-virus vendor supporting Windows XP after retirement, so you can check this list to pick a security product to protect your computer if you decide to stick to this OS version.
