“Windows 8 is a dramatically different user experience”

Several Microsoft executives have already stated that it was only a matter of time before everyone got used to Windows 8 and now it’s the turn of a Vizio official to say the same thing.

Vizio is one of the companies that’s betting big on Windows 8, with several tablets and laptops running Microsoft’s latest operating system now in the pipeline.

Rob Kermode, Vizio’s director of product and development for computing and mobility, told LaptopMag that it takes some time for all users to discover Windows 8 but, in the end, the new software will succeed.

“It’s a brand-new market for us. Windows 8 is a dramatically different user experience, and it takes time for people to learn about it. Microsoft, I think in hindsight, would probably admit that it could’ve done a better job of introducing it. But all in all, we’re putting touch on every single one of our products. So we’re definitely all in on Windows 8,” he said.

As usual, Microsoft doesn’t comment on such statements and prefers to remain tight-lipped on Windows 8 sales, even though so many people are criticizing the new OS.
