OneNote Web App Gets Support for Password-Protection Sections

Now you can access sensitive information from anywhere, the company says

Microsoft has recently introduced a new important update for OneNote Web App, allowing users of its browser-based productivity suite to access content in password-protection sections.

Editing options are also available, so users can easily view and modify the data available in a protected section without even closing the browser.

“Accessing password-protected sections was one of the most requested features for the OneNote Web App. Enabling this feature allows you to access your sensitive information from anywhere. After opening a password-protected section, you can edit its contents, change the section color, create new pages, and even edit the section name,” Andru Roysden, a program manager on the Office Web Apps team, explained.

Even though you are allowed to view and edit protected content, adding, removing, or changing the password requires the downloadable OneNote Desktop program.
