14 DAY TRIAL // The freeware OpenOffice.org productivity suite has received a new brand update today, with version 4.0.1 bringing a lot of bug fixes, as well as performance improvements and new options.
According to the official release notes rolled out this morning, the new build packs additional language support and updated translations for English, French, German, Italian, Russian, and Spanish versions.
It also boosts performance for saving XLS files by more than 230 percent, while also integrating the popular extensions "Presenter Screen" and "Presentation Minimizer" into the core product.
Bug fixes are also part of the release, so you no should no longer experience issues with deleting footnotes or when working with SVG files and Mail Merge options.
