Opera has just released the first release candidate for version 12.11 of their browser. It is currently available for all supported platforms (Windows, Mac and Linux).

The new revision is accompanied by a very brief list of settings that hint at a stable version possibly rolling out next week.

The development team continued the bug hunting in order to eliminate as many stability problems as possible but work has also been poured into improving the functionality of the application.

At the moment, the problem with some jQuery functions not working correctly in Opera 12.10 should no longer cause trouble and the crash caused by SVG foreignObject being “display:list-item” has been eliminated.

Furthermore, Opera 12.11 RC1 should not take all the CPU power when Google chat is used.
