Opera has just released a new stable version of its browser, thus implementing a number of changes and bug fixes meant to improve the experience on both Windows and Mac.

This time, the developing team hasn’t provided us with updated release notes, but it’s probably safe to say that Opera Web Browser 17.0.1241.53 comes with bug fixes and performance improvements on the two supported platforms.

Just like all the other stable builds, the new release can be downloaded and installed on all versions of Windows, starting with the ancient XP and ending with the newly-released Windows 8.1.

In addition to the stable build, Opera also continues work on the Next release, so in case you want to try out the upcoming feature lineup, make sure you give version 18 a spin.

Update (October 23, 2013): the developing team has now published the release notes, revealing that the new build updates Chromium to 1599.101 and also brings a number of crash fixes.
