No matter if you’re an Opera user or not, you might want to have a look at version 23 of the browser because it really comes with exciting things that you can’t yet find in other browsers.

The main change in Opera 23 is the updated heart icon which now lets you add page to speed dial, stash, or bookmarks bar, all from a single button.

“We know that using the heart icon adds an extra click. We’re continuing to refine the heart menu and will add more bookmarking and bookmark management functionality in future releases,” the Opera team says.

At the same time, the new version comes with several improvements and performance enhancements to prevent crashes and other issues that might affect browsing.

“We know that many of you have your browser open all day for email, writing documents, watching movies and playing games. Therefore, it’s vital Opera doesn’t crash just before you kill that alien, dry your eyes at the lovely movie finale (sob) or send that brilliant idea to your boss. So, under the hood, we’ve improved the browser’s stability to prevent crashes if a plug-in freezes or crashes,” the team explained.

As it’s the case with any new release, Opera 23 is available on both Windows and Mac OS X, so click the links below to get the version working on your computer. Opera 24 will also include a Linux build, so we’re only weeks away from the launch of this flavor.
