A new Opera Next update has been released today, accompanied by a short list of changes, which some may take as an indication for an approaching migration to the stable version.

The developer did away with a few bugs that affected the stability of the browser. One of them would occur when a page load was stopped while an invalid certificate was displayed.

Another manifested upon disabling an extension with broken JavaScript dialog. On the same note, the previous release of the browser would suddenly terminate its activity when clearing the camera/microphone settings from the badge popup menu.

Additional repairs available in Opera Next 17.0.1241.18 refer to impossibility to open Opera menu on mouse down or failure to verify the extension checksum for some bundled extensions.

Another issue users confronted with consisted in lack of items in a folder after creating it and opening a new Speed Dial; this should no longer be the case.
