14 DAY TRIAL // Agnitum rolled out today the first release candidate for Outpost Security Suite Pro 8.1, which shows several improvements and plenty of repairs.
The new build is better at intercepting intrusions into process memory using shared memory areas and on Windows 8 HIPS monitoring area has been extended.
The developer implemented improvements touching on archived malware cure rate, entertainment mode, presentation of scan results, Quarantine module and context scan processing.
As far as repairs go, some known GUI and service-related bugs causing blue screens have been eliminated as well as crashes in the firewall driver. Also fixed is the issue that prevented Outpost Security Suite to install on Windows 8 when the number of filters in the protocol stack exceeded.
Additional problems eliminated in this release refer to high-priority low-level firewall rules creation, delays, freezes and unavailability of Windows Audio service on Windows Vista.
On the same note, possible freezes of the operating system when using Opera browser should no longer occur.
