Over the weekend, PS3 Media Server received an update that incremented the build number to 1.80.

This release integrates plenty of repairs and improvements touching on various components such as renderers and engines.

Seek-by-time function for streaming in the case of PS3 has been restored and results from transcoding to WMV format are better in the case of AirPlayer and iPad/iPhone devices. On the same note, support for Sony Bravia HX.

The developer added support for all three TranscodeVideo profiles (WMV, MPEGTSAC3 and MPEGPSAC3) and the FFMpeg and FFmpeg Web video engines

Additional changes include support for VLC as engine, and for all TranscodeAudio profiles.

This build addresses the bug that prevented the program from running multiple profiles at the same time. Also fixed is NPE when responding to DLNA subtitle requests and for empty soapactions.
