The Start button frenzy has gone well beyond the Windows platform

The lack of a Start button in Windows 8 has generated a global craze among users of Microsoft’s operating system, mostly because their familiar working environment has instantly become a very confusing world.

Or, at least, that’s what so many people have been saying ever since Windows 8 came out.

Now Microsoft will bring back the Start button in Windows 8.1, but it seems like many other developers are trying to steal the tech giant’s karma by bringing a similar feature on Android.

The so-called Taskbar theme is a very simple app that brings a Windows-like visual style on Android-based mobile phones. It does look more like Windows 7, but it actually uses the same button as the one to be included in Windows 8.1.

The good news for Windows users is that they’ll soon get their own “modern” Start button to launch the Start screen with just a single click.
