Windows 8.1 got to see daylight earlier this year, but third-party software developers across the world have been hard at work lately to make their apps work on the new operating system.

An update released for Secure Folder today comes to bring full compatibility for Windows 8.1, which means that all of its features are supposed to work flawlessly even if you’ve already made the move to Microsoft’s latest offering in the OS industry.

At the same time, Secure Folder 7.7 comes with improved Privacy Sweep and updated Power Switch modules, while also packing several unnamed security enhancements and bug fixes.

In addition to Windows 8.1, the application runs just fine on all the other Windows versions on the market, including XP, Vista, and 7.

So starting today, you can download Secure Folder even if you already installed Windows 8.1, as the built-in modules have been optimized to work on this particular OS release.
