Microsoft has just launched a brand new Skype version, thus bringing a set of improvements on Windows workstations.

While the company is yet to provide us with release notes and more information on this new build, Skype 6.10 most likely packs enhancements and bug fixes, which means that improved performance is very likely after deploying the update.

Of course, Skype continues to run flawlessly on all Windows versions on the market, including the newly-launched 8.1 that got to see daylight on October 18.

Keep in mind that this update is only available for the desktop version of the Windows operating system, as the Modern build of Skype is yet to be improved.

More details, including release notes, are very likely to be unveiled in the coming days.

Update (October 30, 2013): Microsoft has just revealed the release notes for Skype 6.10.
