Skype has received a new update only a few hours ago, but the company has only now rolled out the official release notes for version 6.10.

According to Microsoft, Skype 6.10 comes with a new welcome screen “that gives you easier to reach sign-options” and which adopts a modern-style design.

At the same time, it also upgrades the video call library “to improve your video calling experience,” as Microsoft explained in a post.

“To benefit from this upgrade, make sure that both you and the person you’re video calling are using the latest version of Skype,” the company noted.

Last but not least, the new 6.10 build also comes with performance improvements and fixes, so the Skype desktop client should now run smoother regardless of the Windows version running on your computer.

Microsoft has clearly improved the experience offered to users with the new build, so simply download Skype 6.10 to enjoy all these new features.
