Yesterday Microsoft released a new beta version of the Skype client, which packs several new features, including a video messaging option to record a video message and send it to offline contacts.

While this is indeed a great addition to the Skype client, the new build also packs multiple bug fixes and feature improvements that might be then introduced in the stable version of the app.

First of all, Skype 6.5 beta is supposed to fix a bug that disabled the ability to call when users tried to start a conversation with a specific number.

The stability of the app has also been improved in specific scenarios when the application was placing outgoing calls and no camera was connected to the computer.

Last but not least, Microsoft implemented enhanced support for some new languages, such as Hungarian, Bulgarian, Dutch, Turkish, Slovak and Ukrainian.
