Support for Facebook audio and video-calling in beta

The focus in the latest version for Skype is sharing, as the developer introduces a new feature, called Group Screen Sharing. The name says it all: everything that pops on your screen can be shared with a group of people at the other end.

As such, you can share a presentation over a call or share photos without having to send them over. Group Screen Sharing in Skype for Windows 5.8 can be done with as much as 10 people and it is available only with Skype Premium.

This release adds support for Facebook video and audio calls (beta stage), brings full HD video-calling (if you have Logitech C920 webcam and at least 2MB upload/download speed) and lets you hide offline Facebook contacts. It also introduces Push to Talk feature and integrates Bing toolbar.
