Microsoft has just rolled out a new version of Skype for Windows 8.1 users, as the company has implemented a series of fixes for both desktop computers and tablets.

According to the official release notes posted in the store, the new Skype build comes with general bug fixes, which means that enhanced stability and reliability should be spotted after deploying the update.

No other features or options have been implemented, so expect the application to run smoother thanks to this new update.

“Stay connected while you shop, read, watch and work. When you do more with Skype, there's more to talk about. Connect how you want, when you want. Chat, hear their voice, or get together face to face all within the comfort of one app,” the app description now reads.

Of course, all users are recommended to deploy the update as soon as possible, so download Skype for Windows 8.1 right now to see what’s new.
