Recording your screen can be very useful if you're trying to create a tutorial or, in other words, explain something that is not as easy as 1-2-3. Today, we're offering Recordzilla at a great price, an app that will make screen recording a whole lot easier.
The idea behind Recordzilla is simple: if you see it on your computer's screen, you can capture it. You can use the program to capture pictures, video and, of course, audio. So, whether we're talking about webcams, games, video streaming or your plain-old desktop with its presentation, messaging, media or internet apps – they can all be captured using Recordzilla.
First of all, you'll have to select the region that will be captured – you capture the entire screen, a certain window or a custom region.
You can easily customize the video's compression settings, but you can also choose to apply a text, image or the current date and time to the video.
Usually, recorders will only capture the system's sound, but Recordzilla allows to choose a different source, so you can create a tutorial from your desktop with audio from your microphone.
The output video can be manually saved/named or you can let Recordzilla do the naming for you. It can also split the video, if it reaches a certain size, making it easy for you to upload or copy the files on CDs or DVDs.
A couple of bonus features of Recordzilla that make it even more useful are the hotkeys and the scheduler. The hotkeys make it easier for you to start/stop recording without accessing the software's main window, while the scheduler will help you start recording even when you're away from your computer.
