SopCast has been updated to version 3.8.3 today. There are no new features available as the developer focused on improvements and fixing up some glitches.

This is a minor release that should bring to the table better performance for data transfers (audio and video).

Apart from this, the developer did away with a couple of bugs, one affecting the crash report module and the other tampering with the install.bat file.

The previous build was released back in March and included faster loading of H.264 channels. You can find the list of changes on this page.

Sopcast is designed as a simple and free method for broadcasting audio and video streams.

It relies on peer to peer (P2P) protocol and allows any user to share their own media streams (real-time) without having to pay for a powerful server or a large bandwidth. At the core is the SoP (Streaming over P2P) technology.
