Piriform launched a new build for Speccy, bringing to the table not only support for new hardware, but also detection of the security software installed on the system.

Starting revision 1.19, Speccy will be able to determine the antivirus product protecting the computer. It also includes the ability to detect virtual machines.

As far as hardware components are concerned, Speccy 1.19 adds support for NVIDIA GeForce series 6 GPUs and Apple’s iPad.

The development team improved the compatibility with Windows 8 and the analysis of CPU core and bus speeds for newer AMD CPUs, as well as the detection of Active Power Schemes and Power Profile in Windows 7.

Furthermore, the fresh release adds Network Shares for Windows 2012 Server and it should handle better the vendor in the case of peripherals.
