Today, Piriform released a fresh build for Speccy, their system information tool that also comes in portable form. The new revision, 1.25.674, does not integrate too many changes, but it makes available a few improvements and minor repairs.

However, chief on the list of modifications is support for detecting ReadyBoost drives, a caching mechanism that uses USB drives to supplement the RAM needs of the computer; it can be enabled on Windows Vista and above.

Apart from this, Speccy has been improved to provide better detection of Wi-Fi networks. Furthermore, it should be able to detect disk transfer mode more accurately and the list of network adapters can now display disabled components, too.

As usual, the developer also informs that the new release benefits from minor bug fixes and user interface improvements, although there are no details about what they consist of.
