Microsoft might bring back the Start menu in Windows at some point in the feature, but in the meantime, people are still looking into third-party apps to restore the full functionality of the desktop.

Start Menu Reviver is of the apps that could help you in this regard, promising to make Windows 8 feel more familiar by reintroducing the well-known feature which was removed in Windows 8.

Thanks to an update released this morning, the app is expected to work even better by correcting a number of bugs and compatibility issues which have been spotted in previous builds.

As you might have heard, Start Menu Reviver 2.0 boasts a design that’s very close to the one presented by Microsoft at the BUILD 2014 developer conference and expected to be introduced sometime in the near future, mixing the traditional design with modern elements.

Of course, the app works on all versions of Microsoft’s modern operating system, including Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, with both 32- and 64-bit build currently being supported.

Overall, this update should be installed by pretty much everyone running the app right now, so go ahead and download Start Menu Reviver 2.0.0.82 right now to see what it brings new on your computer.
