Start Menu Reviver (reviewed here) has been updated recently to build 1.0.0.1520. Although it seems like a minor revision, the developer included a couple of new features and several bug fixes.

This release of the application brings to the table the ability to resize the start menu to preset values (large, medium and small), so it no longer gulps a significant part of the desktop estate.

Furthermore, users have the possibility to manually adjust the size of the menu by changing the percentage value in the XML configuration file.

A new Start button context menu is currently available in this revision, called Windows Explorer, which launches the file manager in Windows 8.

Overall improvements available in this build refer to performance and memory usage.

The developer also did away with one issue that affected booting into the classic desktop on Windows 8, search tab glitches, minor problems with Tiles and Charms button as well as the Sleep option erroneously enabling hibernation on Windows 7.
