Windows 8.1 Update was released earlier this week, so developers across the world are working on their products to implement tweaks that could make their apps work flawlessly on the new OS version.

Start Menu X today received a new update, so the famous third-party Start menu can now be installed on Windows 8.1 Update as well, turning the new OS build into a much more familiar working environment.

At the same time, version 5.15 comes with some important bug fixes, including a patch addressing an issue causing the application to change the keyboard focus of other programs running your computer.

Just like the other Start menu apps on the market, Start Menu X comes with support for both 32- and 64-bit modern Windows builds and with a helpful feature package that includes quick access to the installed apps, a search box, and power controls to easily shut down or reboot your computer.

Start Menu X obviously comes with a freeware license and can be deploy on some Windows versions as well if don’t like the standard Start menu design offered by Microsoft.

Overall, this is clearly an update that comes in handy to Windows 8.1 Update adopters, so download Start Menu X 5.15 right now to fix any existing bugs.
