StartIsBack is one of the big guys when it comes to apps that could bring back the Start Menu on Windows 8 and 8.1, so every update is vital for thousands of users who already installed it.

The version that’s specifically aimed at Windows 8.1 users has received a new beta update this morning, so in case you’re curious to find out what’s new, go ahead and download StartIsBack+ 1.5 beta 3 right now.

The developing team said that you should expect minor UI changes, while also getting a number of Start button optimizations that are supposed to improve the overall experience with the app.

At the same time, multi-monitor settings appears now in a separate page, while the original Start button works on the taskbar and on the Start screen just as expected.

This particular build is only designed for Windows 8.1, so make sure you download it only after you make the move to Microsoft’s latest OS release.
