The latest revision for StartIsBack increases the functionality of the application by adding the possibility to view the taskbar when the Start Screen is displayed in Windows 8. This feature could prove very handy especially on tablets.

Version 2.1 of this Start button for Windows 8 brings to the table improvements such as the option to pin to Start menu for all programs, not just File Explorer.

Furthermore, users are now notified when a new release is available for download. The Configurator now fully supports high-DPI screens and RTL languages.

An important change in this revision is the possibility to activate a license multiple times if the Windows installation is not changed but runs on different hardware than before.

The developer eliminated the bug that prevented the display of the modern Screen when closing the classic desktop.

StartIsBack uses Microsoft’s code for the Start Menu available in Windows 7, thus offering the exact same features as the original launcher. You can download it from this link.
