Best Buy launches new trade-in program for Surface Pro 3

It’s no secret that the Surface Pro 3 is a really expensive tablet, as the top model retails for around $1,949 (€1,500), but thanks to discounts and promos launched by Microsoft and its partners, you can buy it for much less than that.

For example, a new campaign started by Best Buy can bring you a discount of at least $200 (€150) for a Surface Pro 3, but with one major condition: you must trade in your old working tablet.

Basically, you can bring your old tablet in one of the participating Best Buy stores across the United States and, depending on its condition, get a discount of $200 or more when purchasing a Surface Pro 3. The minimum discount, however, is split in two parts: $50 (€37) as a Best Buy voucher and $150 (€110) as a price cut for the Surface Pro 3.

Obviously, the newer the tablet you wish to trade-in, the bigger the discount, so if, for example, you want to give up on a new iPad, you can get quite a hefty discount to purchase a Surface Pro 3.

For starters, the Surface Pro 3 is a 2-in-1 device supposed to replace your laptop and comes with a 12-inch screen, 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM, up to 512 GB of storage space, and an Intel Core i7 processor for the top-of-the-line model.
