Microsoft will officially introduce the new Surface with Windows 8 Pro on February 9, but the device is already available for testing at select retailers across the United States.

Several Microsoft stores are now showcasing the tablet, allowing visitors to give it a spin before eventually buying one after launch.

The tablets aren’t yet for sale, but only for testing purposes, and with no pre-order program prepared before launch, consumers have no other option than to wait for February 9 to buy one.

The Surface Pro will be available in two different versions, with 64 GB and 128 GB of storage space, while pricing will begin at $899 (€659) for the entry-level model. The device won’t be delivered with a Touch Cover, but instead it’ll feature a Surface Touch pen for easier drawing and writing.
