The Pro tablet may have the same fate as the RT version

Microsoft officially introduced the Surface Pro tablet a few days ago, and the company says that consumer response is amazing, but Joachim Kempin, a former Microsoft executive, claims the new device is very likely to disappoint.

Kempin, who has been talking quite a lot about Microsoft lately, told Computing in an interview that the Redmond-based technology giant didn’t have the necessary know-how to make a successful hardware product, and it all comes down to its partners.

“I don't think it's going to make a dent either, because that's the category where most PC manufacturers know exactly what to do. Just look back. Microsoft and hardware. What have they ever done that was successful?” Kempin was quoted as saying.

In the meantime, the 128 GB version of the Surface Pro is still out of stock, but Microsoft has promised that more units would arrive in official stores by the end of the week.
