Symantec has just released some public betas for its security products, announcing that they're fully compatible with the upcoming Windows 8.1 OS.

Norton 360, Norton Internet Security, and Norton AntiVirus are also capable of protecting Windows 8.1 devices, but keep in mind that they only work in the desktop environment, and not in Metro mode.

“With the latest betas, Norton continues to deliver best-of-breed technologies to keep consumers protected from today's complex and evolving online threats. The betas are engineered for outstanding protection, performance and the best possible user experience,” Symantec said.

The three products come with stronger protection, improved performance for reduced CPU footprint and increased stability regardless of the device you are using, be it a tablet, a laptop, or a desktop computer.
