Women will be a bigger market for tech companies, he believes

Large companies, including Microsoft, should try to bring more women in the IT industry, as they will soon represent the main market for the tech market.

At least, that’s what Microsoft researcher Blaise Aguera y Arcas said in a statement at a Microsoft event in Tel Aviv, Israel. Aguera y Arcas, one of the engineers behind Bing Maps and Bing Mobile, explained that women are going to play a much more important role for tech companies by 2020, with their salaries very likely to experience a major increase.

“I've heard some nonsense that college isn't worth anything and it’s better to just found a startup. That's rubbish as far as I can see. All the data shows college earns you way more money over your career,” he was quoted as saying by Business Insider.

“If you can, hire women engineers and CEOs,” he concluded. This surely doesn’t sit well with Steve Ballmer.
