Tech giant Microsoft is also affected by the economic recession, even though it brought several key products to the market, including Windows 8 and the Surface tablet.

But as far as the Dmitry Shymkiv, the company’s Ukrainian general manager, is concerned, the financial downturn will only slow down Microsoft’s growth in his country.

“Sales in the corporate sector increased by more than 30 percent in 2012. It is going to be slower this year,” he was quoted as saying by Bloomberg.

Microsoft’s Ukrainian business is now betting big on hosting services and cloud products, so the company expects this particular sector to increase by more than 50 percent. According to the same source, the company currently has 2,000 corporate clients in Ukraine, all of which are using Microsoft’s cloud-based services.
