Microsoft recently changed its logo for the first time in 25 years, trying to prepare for the major product range refresh that will take place this fall.
Many people hate the new company logo and obviously dislike the one available in Windows 8 too, but only a few actually remember the first logo ever used by the Redmond-based software giant.
The “blibbet” logo (the first one in this picture) was filed August 26, 1982 and showed nothing more than the name of the company, with no symbol or image attached to it.
This was used for only five years after eventually being replaced by what’s being called the “Pac-Man” Microsoft logo designed by Scott Baker. As compared to its predecessor, the 1987 logo also featured a slogan just underneath the company name that read “Where do you want to go today?”
