All users are now automatically redirected to a MSDN page

After the company officially announced last month that Windows Live Messenger would be retired in earlier 2013, the “new” Microsoft is making another victim.

Silverlight.net has been closed, although the Redmond-based technology giant is yet to confirm this, and all users are automatically redirected to a new MSDN page.

While there still are some details on the Silverlight platform on this MSDN website, Silverlight.net previously served as an information hub for all those looking to make the most of this technology.

What’s more, it appears that all bookmarks and links that get you to Silverlight.net pages are completely broken for the time being.

Microsoft hasn’t yet released a statement on Silverlight.net’s retirement, but we’ve contacted the company and we’ll get back to you as soon as we receive an answer.
