Microsoft has just released a new version of the Windows 8 Weather app, providing adopters of its new OS with several new options and bug fixes.

According to a post on the Bing blog, the new Weather app packs a dynamically updated interactive weather map that displays and refreshes the conditions in real time, including temperature and precipitation.

“Now you can stay a step ahead with interactive and dynamically moving weather maps for your city or region across different categories including satellite, temperature, precipitation, cloud cover and radar,” the Bing team wrote.

Of course, the update is compatible with all Windows 8 devices, including desktop computers and tablets running Windows RT, such as Microsoft’s very own Surface RT.

Last week, Microsoft released a new round of improvements for the other Windows 8 apps installed by default in the new operating system, including Finance, Maps, Sports and News.
