Microsoft creates new software section in the Store

The Spotlight section of the Windows Store is now displaying a new software category that provides access to several Windows 8 applications that could help you “get a fresh start” and enjoy the spring cleaning, as Microsoft says in the official description.

“Spring cleaning means getting rid of what’s old and organizing what’s left. These apps offer smart solutions for clearing out and cleaning up. Take advantage of their tips and spring cleaning won’t be so tough,” it explained.

Basically, this new software section comes with productivity apps, most of which are offered with a freeware license, but several organizers and to-do lists come with a paid license as well.

As usual, keep in mind that this is only a temporary software section, so Microsoft will soon replace it with something new, as more apps are being added to the Store.
