The current Start menu design has no transparency

Microsoft indeed brought back the Start menu in Windows 10, but at this point, only few customization options are offered, and despite the live tiles, its design is rather simple, without any breathtaking visual tweaks.

That's why many users are calling for Microsoft to implement transparency as well, in an effort to improve the overall look of both the OS and the Start menu itself.

But until that happens, Chris Lombardo, who has already created several awesome concepts, designs his very own version of the Windows 10 Start menu that also includes transparency and thus provides us with a short glimpse of how this new feature of the operating system could look.

This new visual effect would definitely impress many users out there who want Windows not only to work well and fast but also to look good, and there's no doubt that Microsoft is at least considering such an option for the stable version of the operating system, which, according to sources, should see daylight in late summer or early fall 2015.

Microsoft uses the Windows 10 Start menu to kill two birds with one stone: stick to the traditional design offered to Windows 7 users but also implement modern features such as the live tile. But there's no doubt that transparency would make it really look good, so let's just hope that Microsoft is at least thinking about bringing such a feature in Windows.
