Both Server and Viewer components for TightVNC remote control solution have been updated with bug fixes today to build 2.7.7.

In the case of the server, the developer did away with an issue that occurred on configurations with multiple monitors, on Windows 8; it would not allow setting of the main display to any monitor in a row or column.

This revision should no longer have corrupted data when running on Windows 8 and the screen resolution is not divided by four. Also, setting zero compression level in the Viewer’s configuration panel should not cause issues on the Server side.

The developer informs that compatibility issues with older version of TightVNC Viewer (1.3.10) have been eliminated.

As far as the Viewer is concerned, a bug that caused the keyboard to stop working after opening a file transfer has been eliminated.
