Microsoft is yet to officially announce this, but some users are currently reporting that Windows 8’s Windows Store is getting a new category called “Top Paid.”

This app group is only available for a limited number of users at this point, Neowin.net writes, but all Windows 8 devices should be able to see it anytime soon.

Angry Birds Star Wars is currently the number one paid app, while Angry Birds Space comes second followed by Pin Steam and Reckless Racing Ultimate.

According to some unofficial stats, there are now more than 25,000 apps available in the Store, most of them for free.

Microsoft has previously claimed that some of the apps had even recorded more than 1 million downloads, while some developers gained $25,000 (€19,133) from selling Windows 8 apps.
