The number of fixes solved in this release of Total Commander is much smaller than in the previous one, and, as usual, they cover both 32 and 64-bit Windows platforms.

Total Commander 8.0 beta 5 takes care mostly of visual issues, but mending various features and options is also on the change list. Visual bearings such as the copy speed when crossing multiple of 2GB has been fixed. Also, the “background” option when using RAR packer to archive files is now available when hitting Alt+F5 key combo.

More serious problems have been tackled as well, and keyboard shortcuts Alt+F10 (opens directory tree) and Alt+Tab (shifts to another program window) do not cause Total Commander to crash anymore.

Additional work includes adaptation of the app to Windows 8 (it crashed when after sending files to Recycle Bin) and various aesthetic and functional aspects and mending issues with font not displaying correctly.
