The beta version of Total Commander has received a new round of improvements this morning, so in case you’re running this pre-release version of the app, you are highly recommended to update as soon as possible.

Version 8.50 beta 11 is mostly supposed to fix bugs and address a number of performance issues found in previous releases, including updates that are supposed to improve the way the app works on Windows 8.1.

For example, the new release fixes a bug affecting the My Computer and This PC screens, so users are recommended to “make sure the drives are shown at the beginning of the list, especially on Windows 8.1 where the list was mixed.”

At the same time, it also addresses bugs causing the RAR packer to work incorrectly, with users reporting that in some cases, a wrong list encoding could be used.

Overall, this is quite a necessary update for beta users of the app, so download Total Commander 8.50 Beta 11 right now to fix all bugs.
