Several users have reported problems after the update

A brand new Twitter update showed up in the Store today, bringing a number of unnamed bug fixes and performance improvements to all Windows 8 versions.

While the new version doesn’t bring any major change, we’ve received reports that some users had encountered issues after deploying it, while others couldn’t find the app in the Store.

It’s not yet clear whether it was a problem caused by the Twitter update or by the Windows Store, but a few complaints also pointed to an Internet connection issue for the entire Store, so refreshing the app list was basically impossible.

At this point, everything seems to work just fine, while the new version of the Twitter client continues to be available in the updates section of the Store.

As usual, please use the comment section below to let us know whether you’ve encountered similar problems or not.

Update: the issue has been fixed and the Twitter app is now available for download from the Store. More info here.
