Twitter released the official Windows 8 client approximately one week ago, but an update is already in the Store for all adopters of Microsoft’s new operating system.

While users are still mixed on Twitter for Windows 8, the company was expected to bring several improvements to the application, especially because it lacks some important options such as URL shortening.

Today’s update, on the other hand, only comprises a handful of bug fixes and performance improvements, according to the official release notes, so no new features or any other changes.

On the good side, the app will most likely work a bit more smoothly on Windows 8 thanks to this update, so users are recommended to get the new version as soon as possible. This new build is obviously offered to all Windows 8 users, including those running x86, x64 and ARM versions.
