It is not often that Unlocker receives an update. Recently, the developer rolled out a new release, incrementing the build number to 1.9.2.

Although the previous update occurred about two year ago, the new Unlocker does not pack new features or significant modifications.

The developer made improvements to the installer, making available a single file for both 32-bit and 64-bit machines. Another change refers to eliminating small bugs affecting memory and behavior of the application.

Also in the announcement for this revision is a promotional feature, a fully optional Delta toolbar. You can choose not to install it during the Unlocker installation process.

This update is available only for the desktop version of the application. The portable edition is still frozen at version 1.9.0.

Unlocker has been designed to remove files the operating system has trouble with to delete. To achieve its purpose it can close handles, unload DLLs or kill processes without having you reboot the system.
