Microsoft released Windows 8.1 in the Store on October 17 and soon after that, lots of users started complaining that they couldn't see the OS update listed for download.

Fast forward almost one month later and lots of users are experiencing the same issues, even though the company was expected to address this problem in the meantime.

Posts on the company's Community forums point out that consumers cannot find the Windows 8.1 update in the Windows Store, which means that they are basically left with no option to switch to the new OS release.

Of course, the same old trick to access the update link manually still works, so read this guide on how to download Windows 8.1 if you can't see it in the Windows Store.

There's no word as to when Microsoft plans to fix the issue, but it might seem like the company has serious problems in finding the root cause of the glitch.
