It does away with several regression bugs, updates translations

VideoLAN has just released version 2.0.7 for VLC for Windows and Mac. Initially, this build was available only for Linux platform.

The fresh revision is a minor update that does away with some regression bugs affecting the 2.0.x branch.

Among the most notable fixes addressed is a memory leak that occurred when creating AVI files, one memory exhaustion vulnerability in some playlist files and two XSS (cross-site scripting) flaws in the Web UI.

Additional fixes relate to issues with WMA Pro, MPEG 4 ALS, APE, MLP and ADPCM-IMA4 audio decoding and encoding for AAC and MP3 formats.

The developer informs that translations for various working languages have been updated. The new revision is now also available in Azerbaijani, Kirgyz, Oriya.
