VideoLAN says that it encountered some new issues with the app

VLC for Windows 8 was supposed to be launched more than one year ago after VideoLAN successfully completed a Kickstarter fundraising campaign to port the app to Microsoft’s new modern operating system.

And still, the app is nowhere to be seen, as the developing team continues work on it but encounters all kinds of unexpected issues.

Even though the parent company announced last week that VLC for Windows 8 was ready to be submitted to the store for approval (which means that an official download should be made available in early February), it turns out that more problems have been encountered.

VideoLAN revealed in a short tweet that submission failed, so the app launch has been delayed one more time.

“Submission failed again... We're working on it and will resubmit...” the tweet reads.

VideoLAN is yet to determine the cause of the issue, so it could take a little bit longer to see VLC for Windows 8 in the store.
