Viber will soon get a new version specifically aimed at Windows Phone 8 devices, but it seems like the company has many more exciting projects prepared for the future.

Company CEO Talmon Marco suggested in an interview with trutower.com that a Windows 8 version of Viber may be released at some point, but he refused to provide more information on this project.

“We are looking at all platforms, but have nothing to announce at this point in time,” he said when asked whether a Windows 8 PC version is in the pipeline.

In the meantime, the company is readying the Windows Phone 8 version of the app that’s currently in the final development stages and should arrive in the Windows Phone store very soon.

As for Windows 8, it will most likely take a while to port Viber to the platform, so don’t hold your breath waiting for the app.
